BIBS Colour is the original BIBS pacifier, and it has been on the market for over 40 years. The iconic round shield is extremely popular among parents. That’s why BIBS decided to create a classic pacifier with a symmetrical teat as well. The round shield features three ventilation holes and is angled away from the baby’s face, ensuring airflow to the delicate skin around the mouth and reducing irritation.

The symmetrical, or flat, teat is made from latex or natural rubber. The teat contains a valve that allows the pacifier to be squeezed, releasing air. This helps reduce pressure on the palate and gums.

A key part of good pacifier hygiene is frequent cleaning. The younger the child, the more important it is to protect them from bacteria and maintain good pacifier hygiene.
Before first use (when you take the pacifier out of the packaging), sterilize it by placing it in boiling water for 5 minutes (do not boil the pacifier). This applies only before the first use.
For subsequent cleaning of the pacifier, follow these three simple steps:
Place the pacifiers in a clean bowl. Pour plenty of boiling water over them.
Let the pacifiers soak for about 5 minutes.
Remove them from the bowl and allow them to dry on a clean towel.
It’s normal for some water to remain inside the teat after cleaning. This is due to the fact that all our pacifiers are equipped with a valve that releases air. This ventilation system causes the air inside the teat to be pushed out through the valve, flattening the teat to naturally fit the baby’s mouth. The valve is also the reason water may collect inside the teat after cleaning and sterilization. If this happens, simply squeeze the teat to release any excess water. If droplets remain inside the teat, allow the pacifier to air dry.
Latex/natural rubber can, in rare cases, "transfer" onto the shield (possible discoloration of the shield), so it’s important to sterilize with plenty of water and not overdo it with multiple pacifiers at once.
Important: Do not boil the pacifier!
Pacifiers are not designed for boiling, as high heat can damage them. Instead, follow the above instructions, and you’ll eliminate bacteria without compromising the durability of the pacifier.
