Joie® i-Base™ 2 ISOFIX i-Size Base

The Joie® i-Base™ 2 ISOFIX i-Size base is a practical and secure base designed to make installing a compatible Joie infant car seat quick and easy. ISOFIX connectors provide a stable attachment to the vehicle, while clear colour indicators help confirm that the base has been installed correctly.

The base is designed for babies from birth to approximately 12 months or up to 13 kg, depending on the compatible infant car seat.

Secure ISOFIX installation

The Joie i-Base™ 2 uses ISOFIX connectors for a stable connection to the vehicle seat. An adjustable load leg provides additional stability and helps minimise movement of the base during travel.

The base complies with the i-Size ECE R129/03 standard.

Load leg for enhanced stability

The adjustable load leg provides additional stabilisation. A dedicated energy-absorbing zone within the load leg helps absorb forces and reduce the energy transferred to the child during a collision.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the load leg can reduce the risk of forward rotation by up to 90% compared with designs without this type of support.

Colour indicators for correct installation

Practical colour indicators help you check whether the ISOFIX connectors, load leg and infant car seat have been correctly installed. This helps reduce the risk of incorrect installation.

Quick infant car seat attachment

A compatible Joie infant car seat can be quickly attached to the base and easily removed. Simply press the release button to remove the car seat from the base.

This is particularly convenient for everyday use, allowing you to take your baby out of the vehicle together with the infant car seat without removing the entire base.

Practical and space-saving

When the base is not in use, the load leg can be folded underneath the base, helping to minimise the amount of storage space required.

Important safety information

• Always install the infant car seat on the base in the rear-facing position.
• Never install the base on a vehicle seat with an active airbag.
• Never install the base in a vehicle seat that is not equipped with suitable ISOFIX anchorage points.
• Always check the colour indicators before use to ensure the base has been installed correctly.
